Just your average geek girl. My real name's Tiffany (a username which is surprisingly already used), and if you know me by that name, I prefer you refer to me in that way if you ever have anything non-offensive to say about me in your livejournal. Those of you who know me as Teffania, I will happily answer to that name too.
I spent too long at Monash Uni getting a BA/BSC (hons) with majors in Chemistry, Geology, Archeology and a minor in german, followed by geochemistry honours and an unfinished geochemistry PhD. I'd rather not talk about that evil T word, since it left me somewhat depressed, and before you ask no it's too late to go back to it now.

While I was at uni I hung out in Korner (a group of people and a place at Monash, that no longer contains any walls with corners), was president of FOME (science fiction and fantasy club), and active in the St Monicas SCA Group (Medeival recreation). I've run away from Uni now (although I'm often found sneaking back for club functions), and am currently getting paid to work at annother uni but I still can't decide what I want to be when I grow up.

I like watching science fiction movies and reading fantasy novels (although I'm happy enough to do the opposite too), and enjoy strategy-based computer games. I also spend far too long reading emails each day. I also hang out in the greater SCA, especially Krae Glas, where I am known as Teffania. Through this I get to express my crafty self (which there seems to be a lot of), and my focuses are 12th Century clothing, and crafts that involve shaping string (tabletweaving, fingerloop braiding, and many others). I must admit I am easily distracted by other crafts too, especially if I can relate them to the 12th C. I have annother blog to talk about those things: http://teffania.blogspot.com/
